Editor's Notes

This year’s edition of Loquemur features a diverse collection from the some
of the most creative and talented writers on campus. The Honor’s Program wishes to
thank all of the brave and fearless students who were willing to share their creative
abilities. A special thank you also goes out to the judges who so graciously facilitated
the difficult selection process. We are delighted to report this year’s edition is living
proof that strong competition breeds excellence. Congratulations to those who were
selected and good luck to all participants in your future writing endeavors.

It has been such an rewarding experience and privilege to read all of these
great essays! We received writing that is truly reflective of the hard-working and distinguished students who are part of the Honors Program at CBU. The essays are indeed
various and entertaining as well as enlightening. I want to express my appreciation
to the panel of judges whose task it was to determine the best of the group— not
an easy challenge I can assure you, to our faculty advisor, Dr. Schiefelbein, and to the
Honors Program Director, Dr. Burke. Thank you, as well, to all of the students who
were kind enough to share their ideas and insights with us. Keep up the good work!
