Dr. Tony Aretz has been the CBU Academic Vice President since 2004. Since arriving at CBU, he has been instrumental in helping develop CBU's strategic plan and the creation of the new Master of Arts in Executive Leadership. He came to CBU from the faculty of the USAF Academy where he was the Founding Director of the USAF Academy Scholars Program and Director of Academic Strategic Planning. He was a member of the USAF Faculty for 20 years, teaching a variety of engineering psychology, psychology, leadership, research, statistics, and philosophy courses. He has been recognized nationally for his research in engineering psychology and educational assessment. He retired from the US Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel after serving for 28 years. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering Psychology from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in 1990. He also has an M.A. in Human Factors from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio and was a distinguished graduate from the USAF Academy with a B.S. in Human Factors Engineering and Counseling.
