Teaching in universities in the United Kingdom often differs from instruction in American institutions
in terms of class meeting and research
required, as well as assessment techniques. Most courses at Edge Hill meet for lectures as well as
seminar/tutorial sessions and significant
independent study is expected.
For these reasons we recommend that Christian Brothers University abroad students take only four
courses per semester. However, students may take
five courses per semester if they obtain approval from their academic advisor.
