Course Descriptions for Italy Trip, Fall 2007

ART 405: Special Topics in Art: The Cathedrals of Rome (Art and Architecture)
3 credit hours, Ms. Jana Travis, jtravis@cbu.edu

An in-depth study of the architecture of Rome's Cathedrals and the art that lies within them. This course will look at the social, political, and religious history that influenced each artist. Highlighted will be the Vatican and the works of Michelangelo. A visit to Rome and each of the Cathedrals discussed throughout this course will take place during the week of Fall Break. There will also be a Papal audience.
