High School: Played for
Buster Kelso at Christian Brothers High School. Whitehead was an
All-Region, All-State selection and was part of the All-State
Tournament team in 1999. He played in three state tournaments, winning
in 1997 and finishing second in 1999.
College: This is Whitehead’s fourth season with the Bucs. Last
season he red shirted. In 2002 he hit .314 starting in 46 games with
two home runs and a team-high 38 RBIs.
