Bus never shows forcing team to travel by an
old 15-passenger van. Team takes only eight of a possible 15 players. Team
leaves at two in the morning arriving at 8:30 a.m. for a 2 p.m. start against a
good Division I team in Troy State whom had just upset San Diego State on the
road.
This all plays out like a nightmare that Head Coach Mike Nienaber and the Buccaneers of Christian Brothers University couldn't wake up from, but the team that was perfect coming into the contest played like it and upset the Trojans of Troy State 62-61 in front of nearly 2000 shell-shocked fans at Trojan Arena.
