Bucs Claim 7th in Rhodes Invitational
Memphis--The Christian Brothers University men’s cross country added to it already much improved and impressive 2001 resume, as the Buccaneers ran to 7th place finish Saturday morning in Plough Park as part of the Rhodes College Invitational.
Ben Knoernschild paced the CBU effort with a 23rd place finish behind a time of 28:25.00 on the 8K run, while teammate Zack Wilkinson used a mark of 29:11.00 to collect a 36th place overall.
Brent Ellis muscled to a time of 30:02.00 for a 55th ranking, while Will Wright and Bryan Brandon ran to 59th and 60th place finishes, respectively, with times of 30:23.00 and 30:26.00, respectively.
As a team, the University of Alabama-Huntsville won top honors, while the John Knight of Rhodes College clipped a mark of 26:18.00 to capture the top medallist finish.
The Bucs will run again Saturday, October 13, as part of the Mississippi College Invitational.
