Mark McKeever returns to CBU in his first season as a coach after a standout career for the Bucs culminating in a Gulf South Conference Player of the Year award in 2000. He was a Junior College First-Team All-American twice and a two-time All-South Region selection. He was his team’s leading scorer both seasons and an All-Tournament selection. While at CBU McKeever was an All-Conference forward and a team captain. He helped lead the Bucs to a conference championship in 2000. That season, McKeever was All-Conference, a Second Team All-South Region selection, and a member of the GSC All-Tournament team, while leading an offense that was first in the League in shots, points, goals, and assists. The native of Glasgow, Scotland, McKeever graduated from CBU with a degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree at the school.
Kieron Heblich comes to CBU after a standout career as a college soccer player at both the Junior College and NCAA levels. Heblich played two years at Meridian Community College in Mississippi where he was an NJCAA All-American, a member of the National Tournament All-Tournament Team and was an All-South Region Selection. From Meridian he transferred to Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma where he was a member of the All-Region Team both seasons, as well as being All-Lone Star Conference, and a LSC All-Tournament Team member. Heblich graduated in 2000 with a degree in Health and Human Performance and spent one season as an assistant coach with both the Men’s and Women’s teams at Northeastern. He currently is seeking his Masters Degree in Education. Originally a native of Scarborough England, Heblich spent two years in an apprenticeship with his hometown club.
