CBU Baseball Players Lead Gulf South Conference In Academic Excellence

Birmingham, AL - Christian Brothers University Senior outfielder Kyle Dorgan and junior's Brian DeJean and Chad Lopes have been named to the 2004 Gulf South Conference Spring All-Academic Team. The three team members were the most by any school in the GSC.

DeJean, a mechanical engineering major, Dorgan a chemical engineering major and Lopes a business major, were part of an 11-member team. To be part of this team, a person must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be a significant contributor to their respective teams.

As a whole, the Buccaneer baseball team had 18 members with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, the qualifications to be named to the GSC Spring Academic Honor Roll. The 18 members were also the most in the conference.
