Bucs Come From Behind To Defeat
Bethel 6-3

Memphis, TN – The Christian Brothers University
Buccaneer baseball team scored three runs in the seventh inning
and came from behind to defeat Bethel College 6-3.
CBU (16-27) scored a run each in the third, fifth and sixth
innings, as well as three in the seventh today.
BC (15-26) went up 3-1 after four innings, but couldn't hold
the lead.
Andrew Griffy
led off the seventh inning and was hit by a pitch. Michael
St. Cin then laid down a bunt single and advanced to third
when the pitcher threw the ball into right field, scoring
Griffy. Brian DeJean
singled home St. Cin for the second run, and after a double
from Wes Hoover,
DeJean scored on an error by the pitcher.
Molly McKesson
pitched two scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, while
striking out one to earn her first collegiate win. John
Daush pitched a hitless ninth to get his first save of
the season. Matt
Smith started and went six innings allowing just three
earned runs.
Charlie Soukup went 3-4 with two runs scored and an RBI today
as the designated hitter. St. Cin had two hits and two RBIs,
scoring once.
The Bucs will travel to Florence, AL to take on North Alabama
tomorrow, April 20 in a single game at 3 p.m.
