Arkadelphia, AR – The Christian Brothers University
Buccaneer baseball team dropped both ends of a double-header
today at Ouachita Baptist University, losing 5-3 and 7-6.
CBU (12-22, 0-14 GSC) scored first in game one, but a three-run
third inning for OBU would be all they needed.
OBU (16-18, 3-7 GSC) used three pitchers in game one and
two in game two.
The Bucs went down early in game two, allowing three runs
in the first two innings. CBU scored two runs in the third
inning when Michael
St. Cin singled home Shane
Hogan and John
Raymond Hehn hit a sacrifice fly to right field scoring
Andrew Griffy.
Ouachita scored four more runs over the next two innings
but the Bucs answered back with four runs of their own. Wes
Hoover had a three-run home run in the sixth inning and
St. Cin had an RBI single in the seventh, but the rally was
cut short.
The two teams will meet again tomorrow, April 3 for a single,
nine-inning game at 1 p.m.
