Bucs Win Fourth In A Row With
4-3 Win At Freed-Hardeman

Henderson, TN – The Christian Brothers University
Buccaneer baseball team scored two runs in each of the first
and fifth innings en route to a 4-3 win over Freed-Hardeman
tonight.
CBU (20-28) won its fourth game in a row and hit two homers
in the game.
FHU (34-22) scored two runs off of Buc starter John
Raymond Hehn in the first, but with the exception of a
home run in the sixth, didn't touch the ball the rest of the
night.
Mark Foster
started things off for CBU in the top of the first when he
took a 3-1 pitch over the left field wall for his second home
run of the season. Shane
Hogan would score later in the inning on a sacrifice fly
form Wes Hoover.
After giving up two runs in the bottom of the first, Hehn
settled down the rest of the game. The Bucs scored two more
runs in the fifth when Michael
St. Cin homered to left center. Hogan later drove in Andrew
Griffy for what proved to be the game-winning run.
Foster had two hits including a home run. St. Cin homered,
while Hogan and Hoover each drove in a run. Hehn pitched all
nine innings, allowing just four hits and striking out seven
to earn his third win of the season.
The Bucs will finish up the season playing host to a weekend
series with Southern Arkansas. They will play two games on
Saturday, April 30 beginning at noon and finish up with Senior
Day on Sunday, May 1 at 1 p.m.
