Bucs Picked To Finish Eighth
In Pre-Season Gulf South Conference Coaches Poll

Birmingham, AL – The Christian Brothers University
Buccaneer baseball team has been picked to finish eighth in
the Gulf South Conference West Division by the coaches of
the league.
The Bucs received three fifth place votes, four seventh place
votes and one eighth place vote for 21 total points.
Defending National Champion Delta State was picked to finish
first in the West, receiving all but one of the nine first
place votes for 64 total points. Southern Arkansas was picked
to finish second and received one first place vote. Central
Arkansas, Arkansas Tech, Harding, Arkansas-Monticello, Henderson
State, CBU and Ouachita Baptist round out the West.
West Florida received five first place votes and two second
place votes and was picked to finish first in the East. Valdosta
State, Alabama-Huntsville, North Alabama, West Alabama, West
Georgia, Montevallo, and Lincoln Memorial round out the East.
Delta State is the pre-season No. 1 team in Division II and
was also picked to repeat as conference champions.
The Bucs start their season on February 11 at the Black River
Wooden Bat Classic with games played at Williams Baptist and
at CBU.
