St. Cin Named Second Team All-Gulf
South Conference

University junior outfielder Michael
St. Cin has been named
second team All-Gulf South Conference as voted on by the
league's head coaches.
St. Cin (St. Louis, MO/Vianney HS) finished third in batting
average this season hitting .322. He hit three home runs
and drove in 23 on the year. He slugged .433 and was a perfect
2-2 on the base paths.
St. Cin played all three positions in the outfield this
season and was second on the team with five outfield assists.
Delta State catcher Craig Newton was the GSC West Player
of the Year and Arkansas Monticello catcher Nick Tillsley
was the West Freshman of the Year.
"We are extremely excited for Michael (St. Cin)," said head
coach Phil Goodwin. "No player, since I've been here, has improved
so dramatically on the field, in the classroom and in maturity.
"Michael has worked hard in all these areas and should have
an even better senior season. He has leadership skills that
we will count on next year."
