Bucs Sign Pitcher To National
Letter Of Intent
Memphis, TN – Christian Brothers
University head baseball coach Phil Goodwin has announced
the signing of Daniel Gebert to a National Letter of Intent
to attend CBU beginning in the Fall of 2005.
Gebert is a 5-10 pitcher from O'Fallon, Illinois where he
attended O'Fallon Township High School. He has a career record
of 27-6 over four years at O'Fallon where he has struck out
155 with an ERA of 2.48.
So far this season, he is 5-2 with a 2.90 ERA and has limited
opposing batters to just a .191 batting average. He has 23
complete games in his career and threw a no hitter in 2003.
A solid student in the classroom, Goodwin feels Gebert will
be a great fit for the program at CBU.
"We are very excited by the commitment from Daniel,"
Goodwin said. "He is a quality player and person and
the family is equally so. Daniel will provide us immediate
help on our staff."
