Nienaber Adds Cincinnati Big
Man As Latest Recruit
Memphis, TN – Christian Brothers
University Buccaneer basketball head coach Mike Nienaber has
announced the signing of Nick Kohs to a National Letter of
Intent to attend CBU beginning in the Fall of 2005.
Kohs is a 6-7, 215 pound forward from Cincinnati, Ohio where
he played for City Champion Lakota East High School. Kohs
averaged 15.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, leading the
league in rebounding.
Kohs was named second-team All-Greater Miami Conference and
was a first-team All-Butler County selection. He holds the
Lakota East records for rebounds in a season with 231 and
in a game with 23. His team finished 18-3 on the season this
past year.
Nienaber is excited about getting what he calls "the
best rebounder on the best team in Cincinnati."
"He was the guy in the middle of the best team in the
city," Nienaber said. "You're not going to win if
your big men are not getting it done and he certainly did.
He also played against a lot of Division I players and held
his own."
Kohs joins Brandon Shane and Colin Flynn as Nienaber's current
recruiting class.
