Memphis, TN – The Christian Brothers University
Buccaneer basketball team jumped out to a 31-19 halftime lead
and went on to defeat Southern Arkansas 66-63 on Senior Day
at Canale Arena.
CBU (14-13, 6-10 GSC) shot 47 percent in the first half led
by 15 points and eight rebounds from Jordon
Jeffries at the half.
SAU (7-20, 3-13 GSC) out scored CBU 44-35 in the second half,
but couldn't overcome the early deficit.
Jeffries led all scorers with 22 points and 12 rebounds in
his final game as a Buc. Lou
Wright, Clint
Dowdle and Adam
Brock had 16, 12 and 10 points, respectively. Jake
Bazeley had nine rebounds.
The Bucs end the season 14-13 overall and 6-10 in the Gulf
South Conference.
