Ever, Defeat Williams Baptist, 112-60

Memphis, TN – The Christian Brothers University
Buccaneer basketball team scored the third-most points ever
in CBU history and defeated the Williams Baptist Eagles 112-60
tonight in Canale Arena.
CBU (8-4) shot 56 percent from the field and made 20-40 three
pointers. The 20 threes are a new school record and are second
most ever in the Gulf South Conference.
WBC (6-9) was led by 20 points and eight rebounds from Jeremy
Bell.
Sam Bradley
led the Bucs with 20 points in 24 minutes off the bench. Jordon
Jeffries had 17 points and seven rebounds while Lou
Wright and Kevin
Weybright each had 15 points. Dustin
Hoover and Tal
Yatsiv had 11 points, while Jake
Bazeley and Clint
Dowdle had nine apiece.
The 112 points are the most since 1996-97 when CBU won 112-105
in five overtimes against LeMoyne-Owen. The school record
is 115 points done twice, most recently in a 115-95 win over
Bethel in 1991-92. The Bucs defeated Union 114-106 in 1987-88
for the second-highest point total.
CBU will be back in action on Monday, January 10 playing
host to Ouachita Baptist at 7:30 p.m.
