CBU Cross Country To Play Host
To Memphis Twilight Classic at Mike Rose Soccer Complex
Memphis, TN – The Christian Brothers
University Cross Country team will get its season started
this Saturday, September 11 as they play host to the Brooks
Memphis Twilight Cross Country Classic at 8:30 p.m.
The Classic, which will be held at Mike Rose Soccer Complex
in Collierville, TN will feature over 20 competitive Division
I through Division 3 teams as well as NAIA schools. CBU seniors
Kim Crump and Ben Knoernschild will look to lead the Bucs
and Lady Bucs into the classic. The event
will also host a high school section to be run earlier in
the evening.
Some major teams competing in the competition include Div.
I entrants Mississippi State, Eastern Kentucky, Southern
Illinois, Memphis, Alabama-Birmingham, Birmingham Southern
and Jacksonville State.
Gulf South powerhouse Harding University is the defending
champion in the race. They are also the defending GSC champions
and were third place in the National Finals last year.
Start times are 8:30 p.m. for the Women's race and 9 p.m.
