Golfers Finish Tenth At GSC Tournament
Hot Springs, AR – Christian Brothers
University senior Jon Murdock finished tied for 22nd and the
Buccaneers as a team finished in tenth place at the Gulf South
Conference Men's Golf Championships.
A rkansas Tech won their first-ever GSC Title edging out Delta
State by one stroke. West Florida, Valdosta State and Central
Arkansas rounded out the top five.
Delta State's Kevin Jones became the first freshman to ever
win the Individual Medal at the Tournament. He was named GSC
Freshman of the Year. Jones shot a seven under, 209 for the
tournament, six shots in front of his nearest competitor.
Nick Quast of Arkansas Tech finished second, while DSU's Clark
Richardson, ATU's Brent Wilson,
Valdosta State's Kevin Dutkowsky and West Florida's Andrea
Signot and Fredrik Kundberg rounded out the top five.
Murdock shot a three over 75 each round to finish nine over
for the tournament and tied for 22nd. Other finishers for
the Bucs include Jeremy Lawyer tied at 50th, Ben James tied
at 52nd, Matt Burton tied at 54th and Jay McDonald tied at
66th.
