Memphis, TN – Despite out shooting
Martin Methodist 15-6, the Christian Brothers University
Buccaneer soccer team dropped its first match of the season,
losing 2-0 to the Redhawks Sunday afternoon.
CBU (1-1) held a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal against
the Redhawks, but couldn't find the back of the net.
MMU (2-0) got two goals from Stephen Hogan, as the sophomore
from Dublin scored just four minutes in and again in the
58th minute.
Brian McNamara had four shots, including three on goal.
Chris Marwood added four, while Mariano
Ilari had three
shots.
The Bucs will be back in action on Saturday, September 3
playing at the University of Missouri - Rolla. Game time
is slated for 1 p.m.
