Whittington Leads Bucs Past
Lambuth, 2-0

Whittington had a goal and an assist and the Christian
Brothers University Buccaneer soccer team defeated Lambuth,
2-0.
CBU (3-3-2) allowed two shots in the first half, but didn't
allow a single shot in the second half. They outshot the
Eagles 15-2 in the match.
LU (4-5) keeper Brenton Saylor made seven saves in goal
before going down after colliding with David
Miller with
6:09 to play.
Whittington came off the bench and had seven shots, including
four on goal. Rickey
Biven had two shots and a goal for the
Bucs. Miller and Mariano
Ilari added an assist each.
The Bucs begin Gulf South Conference play this Friday, September
24 at Harding. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m.
