Lady Bucs Fall In Overtime, 59-56

Baptist out scored the Christian Brothers University Lady
Buccaneer basketball team 7-4 in the overtime period and defeated
the Lady Bucs, 59-56 Monday night.
CBU (12-8, 3-7 GSC) scored the first six points of the game.
The Lady Bucs trailed, however, 25-19 at the half. Charle
Moore led the Lady Bucs with six points in the half.
OBU (13-9, 5-6 GSC) shot 39 percent from the field in the
half led by 10 points from Magen Rogers.
CBU overcame a a 13-point lead early in the second half and
came within one point twice. Jackie
Moore then drove the lane and with four seconds left,
tied the game on a lay up.
Ouachita took a six-point lead three minutes into the overtime
period and the Lady Bucs cut it to two with 39 seconds remaining
but couldn't get any closer.
Jackie Moore led
the Lady Bucs with 16 points and a career-high 17 rebounds.
Kristen Kirkland
and Charle Moore
had 10 points each. Both teams turned the ball over 20 times
and stole the ball six times.
The Lady Bucs will be back in action on Thursday, February
10 traveling to Arkansas-Monticello.
