Hoffman Named Christian Brothers University Men's and Women's
Cross Country Coach
Memphis, TN – Christian Brothers University
athletic director Joe Nadicksbernd has announced the appointment
of Bill Hoffman as men's and women's cross country coach.
Hoffman comes to CBU with more than 13 years of coaching
experience. Most recently Hoffman was the assistant cross
country coach at CBU under Seamus Loftus and served as interim
coach this season leading the team to a seventh-place finish
at the Gulf South Conference Championships.
Prior to CBU, Hoffman was head cross country coach at Germantown
High School in Germantown, TN from 1996-2001. He also served
as an assistant track coach at Germantown from 1996-99 coaching
pole vault, hurdles, all jumping events and middle and long
distance. He has also served as a volunteer assistant at the
University of Memphis (1992-93) and Murray State University
(1990-92).
Hoffman was a team captain in cross country at Eastern Kentucky
and was named Runner of the Year in 1989 in the Ohio Valley
Conference when he won the Conference Championship. He ran
professionally from 1991-96 for the Reebok Southwest Track
Club and PowerBar Elite.
