Lady Bucs Fall To Armstrong

Carrollton, GA – The Christian Brothers
University Lady Buccaneer soccer team got a goal from Ciara
McGuiness, her second of the season, but couldn't hold off
a second-half fury of goals from Armstrong Atlantic and lost
to the Pirates, 6-2 today.
CBU (0-1-1) went into the half, down 2-0. An Armstrong player
knocked the ball in for an own goal, less than a minute
into the second half and cut the lead to one. A late goal
from McGuiness wasn't enough as the Lady Bucs fell for the
first time this year.
AASU (1-1) had two goals from Aubrie Roberts and scored
four times in the second half en route to the win.
Rachael Valenzuela had three shots, including one on goal.
McGuiness had two shots, both on goal, while Cara
O'Hern added an assist.
The Lady Bucs will be back in action next Saturday, September
3 playing host to Bethel College at 1 p.m.
