Memphis, TN – Christian Brothers University

are effective immediately.
Loftus had previously served as the men's and women's cross

He led the Lady Buccaneers to a 14-1-1 record that included

fourth-consecutive Gulf South Conference Championship and
the Lady Bucs ended their 2003 season ranked 9th in the NSCAA

A native of Ireland, Loftus served as head coach at Neville
High School in Monroe, Louisiana before coming to CBU. He
is also the director of coaching operations for the Collierville
(TN) Lobos soccer club.
Browne comes to CBU after serving as head men's soccer coach
at Hutchison School in Memphis. He led Hutchison to the state
quarterfinals this past season. Prior to Hutchison, Browne
was the head men's soccer coach at Lambuth University from
2001-2003 compiling a record of 21-14-2. Browne led Lambuth
to its first-ever national ranking and was voted Regional
Coach of the Year, as well as the Mid-South Conference Coach
of the Year.
Browne was an assistant with the women's soccer team at the
University of Memphis from 1999-2000 and served as an assistant
for the men's squad from 1995-96. He also served as an assistant
at CBU from 1997-99 for both the men's and women's programs.
Browne played at the University of Memphis from 1991-94, serving
as the team captain in 1994. He was named All-Conference first
and second teams in 1993 and 1994, respectively and led the
team to its first-ever NCAA tournament appearance in 1993.
He played professionally with the New Orleans Riverboat Gamblers
from 1995-97 and with the Indianapolis Twisters of the NASL
Indoor League.
“We are delighted to have these extremely talented
and dedicated coaches direct our soccer programs, said Nadicksbernd.

university athletics and the skills and qualities to work
with an mold student athletes.”
