Lady Bucs Out Shoot UNA, But
Lose 2-0 To The Lions

Florence, AL – Despite out shooting
North Alabama 14-9, the Christian Brothers University Lady
Buccaneer soccer team fell 2-0 on the road against the Lions
tonight.
CBU (1-7-2, 0-5 GSC) was out shot 9-8 in the first half,
but came back and played solid defense in the second out
shooting UNA 6-1.
UNA (7-4, 3-2 GSC) got goals from Erin Turner and Ashley
Thouvenot. Melanie Steward made 9 saves in goal.
Embla Gratarsdottir had a game-high four shots including
two on goal. Rachael
Valenzuela had three shots, two on goal,
while Fancesca DeRanzo added two shots on goal. Sarah
Plummer stoped five shots in goal.
The Lady Bucs will be off until October 14 when they travel
to Montevallo.
