Henderson State Scores Six Early
Runs And Defeats CBU, 8-0

Arkadelphia, AR – The Christian Brothers University
Lady Buccaneer softball team gave up six runs over the first
two innings and fell at Henderson State today, 8-0.
CBU (10-20, 6-12 GSC) freshman Netia
Shores had two of the Lady Bucs four hits on the day.
HSU (19-15, 9-3 GSC) completed the series sweep with pitcher
Sena Horne went the distance striking out three.
Lauren Zavelli
and Jennifer Longo
had a hit each for the Lady Bucs. Kathryn
Bomar pitched four and a third innings of relief allowing
just two earned runs.
The Lady Bucs have a double-header at Rhodes College on Wednesday,
April 13 at 4:30 p.m., before leaving for Decatur, AL to compete
in the Gulf South Conference Crossover Tournament from April
14-17. CBU will face each of the seven GSC East teams beginning
with North Alabama at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 14.
