Lady Bucs Lose Two At Southern Arkansas

The Christian Brothers University Lady Buccaneer softball team dropped below .500 in conference play, losing two games to Southern Arkansas today by the scores of 7-2 and 10-1.

CBU (10-16, 6-8 GSC) went down early in game one as a seven-run second inning was all the Lady Riders needed, winning 7-2.

SAU (20-16, 5-6 GSC) scored in bunches using two, two-run innings and one six-run inning in game two to defeat the Lady Bucs 10-1.

CBU got two runs in the fifth inning of game one. Lauren Hearn hit a sacrifice fly to center field, scoring Samantha Maness while Netia Shores had an RBI single scoring Melissa Eilers.

The Lady Bucs scored their only run in game two when Maness singled up the middle scoring Jenny Bernard.

The two teams will be back in action tomorrow, April, 3 in a single game beginning at noon.
