Lady Bucs Drop Game One Of Series
At Delta State; Game Two Postponed Due To Lightning

Cleveland, MS – The Christian Brothers
University Lady Buccaneer Softball team lost 9-1 today in
five innings at Delta State in the first of what was supposed
to be two games. Game two was postponed until tomorrow due
to lightning.
CBU (12-28, 8-18 GSC) had three hits in the game including
an RBI double from Lauren
Zavelli.
DSU (36-23, 21-5 GSC) got a career night from Alyse Hasty
as she went 3-3 with two runs scored and seven RBIs.
Down 8-0, the Lady Bucs scored their only run in the top
of the fifth inning with two outs, Melissa
Eilers singled to left center. Zavelli then doubled to
center scoring Eilers.
Zavelli, Eilers and Samantha
Maness each had a hit for the Lady Bucs.
The two teams will finish out the regular season tomorrow,
April 30 with a double-header beginning at 1 p.m.
