Lady Bucs Split Double-Header At Delta State

Cleveland, MS –
The Christian Brothers University Lady Buccaneer softball team split a double-header at Delta State, losing 10-0 in game one, but shutting out the Lady Statesmen, 4-0 in game two.

CBU (13-29, 9-19 GSC) got a complete-game shutout from Megan Sharp in the final game of her career.

DSU (37-24, 22-6 GSC) scored seven un-earned runs in the second inning of game one.

Kathryn Bomar fell victim to her own miscue in game one as an errant throw led to nine runs, two earned in game one.

Tia Shores went 2-3 with two runs scored in game two. Paula Cerrito had two RBIs in game two while Jenny Bernard drove in one. Lauren Zavelli went 2-4 with a run scored.

The Lady Bucs finish the season, 13-29 and 9-19 in the Gulf South Conference. The nine conference wins is the most-ever by a CBU softball team.
