Lady Buccaneer softball team lost both ends of a double-header
at Henderson State today by the scores of 5-0 and 11-2.
CBU ( 10-19, 6-11 GSC) managed just two hits in game one
as Lauren Hearn
and Angela Dunn both
singled.
HSU (18-15, 8-3 GSC) pitcher Katie Corbell pitched seven
innings, allowing just two hits, no runs and struck out two
in game one.
The Lady Bucs got on top first in game two, taking a two-run
lead in the top of the second when Netia
Shores hit a two-run home run driving in Dunn. CBU wouldn't
score again as the Lady Reddies scored three times in the
fourth, five in the fifth and three more in the sixth.
Shores went 3-3 in game two, scoring once and driving in
two. Hearn and Paula
Cerrito each had a hit in the game with Hearn doubling
in the third inning.
Both teams will be back in action tomorrow, April 10 with
a single game at noon.
