Lady Bucs Drop Two At Union

Box Score

Jackson, TN
- The Christian Brothers University Lady Buccaneer softball team fell in both games of a double-header at Union University today, losing 9-0 and 6-4.

CBU (6-12) managed just one hit in game one as Bulldog pitchers Mary Kosco and Crissa Norton kept the Lady Bucs bats silent. Angela Dunn had CBU's lone hit. Union scored seven runs in the second inning.

Union (15-6-1) scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning in game two to take the nightcap. Jessica Kee hit two home runs on the day, driving in eight.

Trailing 3-1 going into the top of the fifth in game two, the Lady Bucs scored three runs to take a quick 4-3 lead. RBI singles from Hannah Shackelford and Sammy Maness would plate three in the inning.

Maness went 2-4 with two RBIs and a run scored including her first home run of the season. Jenny Bernard and Paula Cerrito each drove in two and scored once.

The Lady Bucs will be back in action this weekend playing host to Ouachita Baptist University on Friday, March 18 at 3 p.m. then hosting a double-header with the Lady Tigers on Saturday, March 19 at noon.
