Lady Bucs Picked To Finish Third
In Pre-Season GSC Poll

Memphis, TN — The
Christian Brothers University Lady Buccaneer volleyball
program has been picked to finish third in the Gulf South
Conference
West Division Pre-Season Coach's Poll.
Nan Kimbrell and Laura
Washington were named to the Pre-Season
All-GSC Team. Kimbrell is a returning First-Team All-GSC
selection. She led the Lady Bucs in kills last year averaging
4.67 per game and had a team-leading 3.77 digs per contest.
Washington was the 2003 GSC Freshman of the Year and was
a First-Team All-GSC selection last year. She led the Lady
Bucs for the second-straight season in hitting percentage
with a .316 attack average. She was second on the team in
kills
with 3.96 per game and led the team in blocking with
.95
blocks per contest.
Harding was the overwhelming
choice to repeat this year in the West. Henderson State,
CBU, Arkansas Tech, Central Arkansas, Southern Arkansas,
Ouachita Baptist and Arkansas-Monticello round out the West.
North Alabama was picked to win both the East Division and
the Tournament Championship.
The Lady Bucs open up the regular season with a tournament
at West Florida. They play the University of Indianapolis
and Florida Southern on August 26 and finish the tournament
with Pfeifer and West Florida on the 27th.
