Lady Bucs Conclude Signing Period
With Hard Hitter From Arizona
Memphis, TN — Christian
Brothers University head volleyball coach In-Sik Hwang has
announced the signing of Aubrey Pancratz to a national letter
of intent to attend CBU beginning in the fall of 2005.
Pancratz is a 6'0 middle blocker from Chandler,
Arizona where she lettered three years at Corona del Sol
High School for coach Janna Corbett.
A three-year starter, Pancratz was an All-City and All-State
selection in 2003 and 2004, helping lead her team to three-straight
region titles. She was the Region Player of the Year in 2004,
and named the Gatorade Player of the Year in 2003 and 2004.
Pancratz was the team captain for the Aztecs in both 2003
and 2004 and was a Wendy's High School Heisman Nominee in
2004. Her club team (Club Red 18-1) won the Arizona Regional
Open Championship the past two years. Four other members
of the squad have already signed to play collegiately.
A proposed marketing major at CBU, Pancratz earned an Academic
Letter all four years at Corona, where she was a member of
the National Honor Society.
"Aubrey is a great addition to the program," Hwang
said. "She's
a tremendous hitter and just as talented blocking the ball.
She's experienced nothing but success and that type of attitude
is a great addition to any team."
Pancratz joins Jenna Cherry and Bridgett Buckley who have
both signed with the Lady Bucs.
