Bid With 3-2 Win At Central Arkansas

Conway, AR — The Christian Brothers University
Lady Buccaneer volleyball team clinched a spot in the Gulf
South Conference Tournament by defeating the Central Arkansas
Sugar Bears in five games tonight, 3-2. Individual game scores
were 30-22, 30-27, 27-30, 26-30 and 15-11.
CBU (18-10, 6-6 GSC) will be making its first appearance
in the GSC Tournament since 2001.
UCA (13-15, 4-7 GSC) fell behind early and rallied to tie
the match, but a 7-0 Lady Buc run to finish game five sealed
the Sugarbears fate.
Nan Kimbrell
continued her torrid pace with 26 kills and 14 digs, hitting
.392 for the match. Laura
Washington had 18 kills while Lauren
Amundson had 57 assists. Krista
Gyarmati and Hattie
Schnacke had nine kills and 10 digs apiece. Gyarmati had
a match-high six service aces.
The Lady Bucs' regular season is over and they wait to find
out whom they will face in the GSC Tournament scheduled to
take place on November 12-13 at the University of North Alabama.
