Memphis, TN — The Christian Brothers
University Lady Buccaneer volleyball team defeated Henderson
State in four games and Maryville in three to sweep their
second-straight double-header.
CBU (11-5, 2-2 GSC) won both game one and two over HSU including
a .370 hitting percentage in game one. They made quick work
of Maryville, hitting .346 as a team and defeated the Saints
in just 46 minutes. The Lady Bucs had 17 service aces against
Maryville.
HSU (7-5, 2-1 GSC) setter Carla Silveira had a triple-double
with 12 kills, 46 assists and 20 digs. She hit .857 in the
match.
Nan Kimbrell had 23 kills and 11 digs in match one and 12
kills and 11 digs in match two. She hit .632 against Maryville.
Laura Washington had 21 kills against HSU and 12 against
Maryville. She hit .419 and .381, respectively in both matches.
Hattie Schnacke had 13 kills and 19 digs against HSU.
The Lady Bucs will play host to Southern Arkansas tomorrow
at 1 p.m.
