McKenzie, TN — The
Christian Brothers University Lady Buccaneer volleyball
team completed a double-header sweep of both Hendrix and
Bethel
Colleges tonight.
CBU (9-5) defeated Hendrix by the scores of 30-18, 30-14
and 30-25. They cruised past Bethel in the nightcap winning,
30-12, 30-10 and 30-11.
Laura Washington had 13 kills in the first match and 12
in the second hitting .480 and .524, respectively. Nan
Kimbrell had 14 kills and 15 digs hitting .303 against Hendrix. Hattie
Schnacke had 10 kills, 12 digs and hit .471 against Hendrix.
Lauren Amundson had 10 digs and 38 assists in the first match
and had nine service aces against Bethel. The Lady Bucs had
11 aces in each match.
CBU will get back into GSC action this Saturday, October
2 playing host to Henderson State at 5:30 p.m. They will
take on Maryville University later that evening at 8 p.m.
They then host Southern Arkansas Sunday, October 3 at 1 p.m.
