Lady Bucs Split In First Day
Of Alabama-Huntsville Tourney

Huntsville, AL — After dropping
the first match of the day to host Alabama-Huntsville,
the Christian Brothers University Lady Buccaneer volleyball
team
bounced back and defeated Montevallo in three games, 30-21,
30-18, and 30-22.
CBU (7-4) opened up the day with a three-game setback to
UAH. Game scores were 20-30, 17-30, and 26-30.
UAH (7-2) hit .359 in game one, but hit just .202 and .032
in the final two games.
The Lady Bucs rebounded in their second match sweeping Montevallo.
Nan Kimbrell led
CBU with 12 kills and had no errors for a .500 attack average.
She added 16 digs for the double-double.
Hattie Schnacke and Laura
Washington each had eight kills
with Schnacke adding 12 digs and four blocks. Aubrey
Pancratz and Jenna
Cherry had seven blocks each. Lauren
Amundson had
38 assists, while Bridget
Buckley added 15 digs.
The Lady Bucs will be back in action tomorrow, September
10 beginning at 9:30 a.m. when they face off against Nova
Southeastern. They finish the tournament with a match against
West Alabama at 1:30 p.m.
