Betty McWillie, Director - Career Center Director since 1988, Betty holds a Masters Degree from Memphis State University in Counseling & Personnel Services. She is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors as a Career Counselor, and licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Professional Counselor, high school teacher, and counselor. She has over 20 years of experience as a professional career counselor, teacher, high school guidance counselor, lecturer, and Career Center Director. Betty is available to assist students and alumni in seeking full-time and part-time career-related employment. Cathy Lantrip, Career Counselor - Cathy has worked in the Career Center since August 2002 in a variety of capacities: student worker, career counseling intern, student career peer advisor, and in a temporary capacity following the departure of the previous career counselor. She joined the staff full time in January 2007. Cathy graduated from CBU in May 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a minor in English. She has completed Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) Certification training and is currently enrolled in the Master's Degree in Counseling and Personnel Services program at the University of Memphis. She can assist you with resume writing, interviewing skills, and job searching techniques. For incoming Freshmen, or for any other students who are undecided, Cathy can help you decide on the college major that would best suit your skills, abilities, and interests. Curt Rogers, Recruitment Coordinator - Curt has worked in the Career Center in two different roles for more than 10 years; he was a student worker when he enrolled at CBU in 1989, and began working full time in 1992, while finishing his degree in the Evening Program. He graduated from CBU in December 1994 with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. Curt is available to guide you through the use of the Career Center and answer any questions you may have. He also coordinates the Resume Referral Program, Campus Interview schedules, all Job Fair/Graduate School Fair events, and maintains this website.
