Who We Are - Tau Beta PiTau Beta Pi is the only engineering society representing the entire engineering profession. It is the nation's second-oldest society, founded at Lehigh University in 1885 to recognize students of distinguished scholarship and exemplary character. There are now collegiate chapters at 228 US colleges and universities, active alumnus chapters in 16 districts across the country, and a total initiated membership of 469,740. Who We Are - Tennessee DeltaThe Tennessee Delta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi is located on the campus of Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN. As a small private institution, we do not have a large membership (normally on the order of 8 or 10 initiates per year). However, we feel that our students compare favorably to any chapter in the country. Our chapter was founded in 1974 when the Sigma Tau Honor Society merged with Tau Beta Pi. Notes about this SiteThe site has gone through a major redesign as of October 2004. Expect new pictures and information as they becomes available. Please direct all questions to Jeffrey King, 2004-05 chapter president, or Mr. Gene McGinnis, primary advisor. |
