Some CBU alumni and friends choose to augment their annual fund gifts with a large investment in CBU, perhaps to establish an endowment or help with a facilities or special initiative project. These gifts represent a critical source of support as well as a lasting legacy at CBU. In recognition, many of these gifts may be named for the donor or someone the donor wishes to honor. FACULTY ENDOWMENT SUPPORT • Academic/Research Center or Institute: A minimum gift of $1 million. • Endowed Faculty Chair: A minimum gift of $1 million • Endowed Professorship: A minimum gift of $250,000 • Other Academic Appointments (i.e. Dean's Chair): A minimum gift of $100,000. STUDENT ENDOWMENT SUPPORT Endowed scholarship funds provide for a student during his/her four years at CBU and provide funds to the University in perpetuity. The levels to establish an endowed fund are as follows: Quarter Tuition .............................................. $80,000 Half Tuition ................................................... $160,000 Full Tuition .................................................... $320,000 Fully Funded Tuition & Residential Life ........ $420,000 ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP CHALLENGES • Hank Raymonds Endowed Scholarship for Men’s Basketball (through December 2008) As basketball coach at Christian Brothers College from 1955-1961, Coach Hank Raymonds made quite an impression on the program and his CBC players. Raymonds and his CBC teams were ranked in the NAIA, participated in District Championships and the NAIA National Championship Tournaments. He went on to serve as an assistant coach to Al McGuire at Marquette University (1961-1977) and later served as head coach from 1977 through 1983 and athletic director (1977-1987). Coach Raymonds was inducted in the Wisconsin Sports Hall of Fame in October 2005. The Hank Raymonds Endowed Scholarship Challenge was started by an anonymous donor who was inspired by the dedication and loyalty of his players to their coach and by the coach’s positive memories of CBU. The donor will match up to $100,000 all gifts to the scholarship until December 31, 2008. Please act on this opportunity to honor one of CBC’s greatest coaches. To participate, please contact Kyle Bone, Assistant Director of Athletics for Development, at (901) 321-3370 or kbone@cbu.edu, or contribute online indicating your gift for the Hank Raymonds Endowed Scholarship for Men's Basketball. |
