Alumni Email Forwarding For Life

Are you tired of having to update your email address with countless people and organizations when you change Internet Service Providers?

Your alma mater has the solution for you in the form of an Alumni Email Forwarding Address. Quite simply, you have an email address in the form of

which forwards emails to the email address of your choice (a yahoo, msn, hotmail account). Your alumni.cbu.edu address is the only address you share with friends, family, organizations, etc…. If you change your email address or service provider (the hotmail, yahoo, etc…address) simply let the Alumni Office know (https://secure.cbu.edu/alumni/update/) and your worries are taken care of in one simple step! An additional advantage to having the alumni.cbu.edu address is that any email that passes through CBU goes through our antivirus gateway, cleaned of viruses before it is forwarded and also goes through an anti-spam feature. Other facts to know include:

• Your alumni.cbu.edu is a forwarding email address. Therefore, no documents or files are stored or are capable of being stored.
• You do not have dial-in-access to CBU with an alumni.cbu.edu address.
• Unless you have a way to specify the return/email address on your email client, your sent emails will show your hotmail, yahoo, and etc address. If you do have a way to specify the return/email address, simply change it to show your alumni.cbu.edu address
• If first name.last name has already been used, a middle initial or middle name will be used to make your address unique.

To take advantage of this service, please fill out the update form (https://secure.cbu.edu/alumni/update/) so that your profile is current, and then check that you are interested in receiving the Alumni Email Forwarding for Life email address. Once your profile has been verified and updated, you will receive an email from the alumni office to your email address (the one provided on update form) to start the process.
