How to use your single-line telephone

Feature Feature Action Operating Procedure 
Call Transfer  Activate  Press switchhook or “link” button.
Hear special dial tone.
Dial the number.
Where call is to be transferred…hang up. 
Call Forward  Activate Lift handset…Dial #1. Hear regular dial
tone….dial number where calls are to be
forwarded…Hang up 
Cancel  Lift Handset…Dial #1. Hear regular dial
tone…hang up. 
Call Pickup  To Respond  Lift handset..dial 13….call is answered. 
Permanent Hold  Activate  Press switchhook or “link” button.
Hear special dial tone. Dial #4. Hang up.
Return  Lift Handset 
3-Way Conference Activate Press switchhook or “link” button.
Call is automatically placed on hold and special dial tone is heard.
Dial number of 3rd person.
Press switchhook or “link” button to connect the calls.
Last number redial Redial Lift handset, hear dial tone.
Dial 1189.
The last number you dialed will be redialed automatically.
Transfer a call straight to voice mail Press switchhook or “link” button.
Hear special dial tone Dial 3800 (express messaging)
Dial 4-digit phone number followed by “#” (example, 3280#.)
Hang up
