Laurel Tomasello (Biology, ’03) has been accepted to the Physical Therapy Program at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY.

CBU IN THE NEWS
Coach Gareth O’Sullivan (Soccer), forward Margaret Saurin (M.Ed. '03), and defender Kristen Killough (ECCM, '04) appeared on WREG-TV’s "Live at 9" on December 16 to discuss the Lady Bucs’ national championship victory. The Lady Bucs were also spotlighted in the nationally-televised "Championships of the NCAA" on CBS on December 28.

Dr. Pete Gathje (Religion & Philosophy) appeared on WREG-TV’s "Live at 9" on December 18 to discuss the Middle East.

Dr. Rena Durr (Behavioral Sciences) appeared on WREG-TV’s "Live at 9" on January 13 to discuss her work in animal cognition. Dr. Durr was also the subject of an article in the December/January issue of Memphis magazine.

CONDOLENCES
James Clifton Jones, father of Roselyn Jones ('06), passed away on January 14. The family asks for your prayers. Condolences can be sent to the Jones family at 2945 Highway 193, Collierville, TN 38017.

Kimberly Hammond has joined the Office for Institutional Advancement as a Data Control Specialist.

Dr. Randel Price has joined the School of Engineering as an Associate Professor Chemical Engineering.

FORUM ON HARASSMENT
A forum on "Harassment: Sexual, Racial, and Other Illegal Forms of Harassment" will be held Tuesday, January 28, 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the Spain Auditorium. The forum, sponsored by the Counseling Center, will be conducted by Ms. Michelle Banks, Affirmative Action Officer, University of Memphis. Everyone is invited.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
The Memphis Public Library is opening a secondhand bookstore called Second Edition and needs volunteers. It will be open during the regular Library hours. If you are interested, call Cendi Engram at 415-2840 or contact Sister Dolores at 321-3528 for information.

UNIVERSITY GALLERY EXHIBIT
An exhibition of drawings by Remy Miller is featured in the University Gallery (lower level of Plough Library) through February 14. Miller is an associate professor of design, drawing, and painting at the Memphis College of Art. Some of the drawings in this exhibition was produced during and following a residency at Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughn, Ireland.

SOUTH AFRICAN SPEAKER AT CBU
Pumla Gobodo-Madikileza, psychologist, activist, and former head of the Truth and Reconciliation Committee of South Africa will speak in Spain Auditorium on Thursday, January 23, at 7:30 p.m. “A Human Being Died That Night: A South African Story of Forgiveness” is a presentation of Facing History and Ourselves project , in partnership with with several departments at CBU including Behavioral Sciences, Campus Ministry, Religion and Philosophy, Education, the Honors Program, and the Division of Student Life. The event is open to the community; call 452-1776 for reservations.
