The McNary International Scholarship was established by Brother Tim McNary to attract outstanding young men and women from around the world to CBU. Brother Tim, who has been at CBU since 1976, worked as an admissions counselor for international students in the 1990s and continues to maintain strong ties with international alumni. The scholarship is for $4000.00 per year and is renewable for each year of the recipient's full time day enrollment as an undergraduate at CBU. The first scholarship will be awarded for Fall, 2007. To be considered for this award, students must apply as a degree-seeking international student who does not have citizenship in the United States. The student must have an outstanding record in secondary school and a minimum SAT score of 1200 (critical reading plus math combined). Students must be accepted to CBU by March 1, 2007 for consideration of this award. This award can be combined with any merit-based scholarship and/or athletic scholarship that a student receives from CBU. To renew the scholarship each year, the student needs to maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or better while enrolled full time at CBU. In addition, the student must complete a minimum of five hours per month of service to CBU. The area of service is preferred in international recruitment.
