CBU Events to Honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

(Memphis, TN)---Christian Brothers University will be honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 10 with the CBU Annual Oratorical Contest. Competing in the contest will be 6th grade students from the Holy Names and De La Salle Elementary schools. The contest will be held on the CBU campus, Spain Auditorium, Buckman Hall at 6:30 p.m.

On January 11, CBU will host the Martin Luther King, Jr. Prayer Service with featured speaker, Reverend Stanley Gates from the Circle of Faith Christian Center. Special musical selections from the CBU Inspirational Voices Gospel Choir will be performed. Also featured will be an award winning oratorical speech by a 6th grader from Holy Names or De La Salle Elementary school. The Prayer Service will take place on the CBU campus, Spain Auditorium, Buckman Hall at 12:30 p.m.
