Elisa Marus Elisa Marus Named Director of Communications and Marketing
Elisa Marus has been named Executive Director of Communication and Marketing for Christian Brothers University. Prior to joining CBU, Ms. Marus was Executive Director of Community Relations and Marketing for Southwest Tennessee Community College where she was responsible for community relations outreach, marketing and advertising, and strategic planning. During her tenure there, the College received more than seventy-five awards for creative marketing and advertising campaigns including several national awards.
Ms. Marus is currently serving as the West Tennessee representative to the Tennessee College Public Relations Association and recently served as the Tennessee representative to the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations. In 2005, she received the Otis L Floyd Award for Excellence in Administration from the Tennessee College of Public Relations Association for superior achievement in innovation, leadership, vision and communication.
Responsibilities at Christian Brothers University will include managing all university communications, marketing and advertising activities, and oversight of web communications. Ms. Marus will serve as the public relations and public information officer for the university. Ms. Marus holds a bachelor of public administration and a bachelor of social work degrees from the University of Mississippi. Ms. Marus is a graduate of the Management Development Program and holds a master of science of social work degree from the University of Tennessee. Ms. Marus is an active member of many organizations in the Memphis community and sits on the Board of Directors of the Mid-South Sales and Marketing Society.
