Campus Ministry Overview

Campus Ministry at CBU fosters the faith of all students and offers pastoral care to the community by:

• Developing and supporting an active faith community
• Fostering spiritual enrichment by supporting dialogue, harmony, and interpersonal relationships between students, faculty, and staff
• Helping students to integrate faith and life experiences
• Encouraging students through community, outreach, and service

CBU students taking a stand for Pro-Life.

Liturgy

• The Catholic Community gathers around the Eucharist on Sundays at 9:00 PM in De LaSalle Chapel and is followed by a social gathering where conversation and community are formed. 
   

• Tuesday-Thursday at 12:30 the community gathers for a Communion prayer service at St. Joseph Chapel in Barry Hall. 
   

• Mon. Wed. Thurs. and Fri. at 5:00 mass is celebrated at De La Salle Chapel in Stritch Hall.

Area Church Schedules
 

At Christian Brothers, the community shares in the roles of service to the community at worship which includes:

• Ministers of the Eucharist who distribute the Eucharist to the community at Liturgy. Some serve as ministers of the Bread, others as Ministers of the Cup. 
   

• Students, faculty, and Brothers who help share God's Word as Lectors at Sunday evening Mass. 
   

• Ministers of the Altar who prepare the altar and assist the priest in preparing for the Liturgy.
   

• Ministers of Music- who lead the community in song using their talents to enrich the environment of prayer and praise.

Twilight Retreats

Twilight retreats are offered throughout the year. They provide a time and place for students to reflect on God and themselves. For more information please call or email Campus Ministry. 

Service

Service to the community is an integral part of the educational process at CBU. In the spirit of the founder St. John Baptist De LaSalle, outreach to the poor and the disadvantaged are encouraged through volunteer programs. Various long and short term projects are set up within the academic year and students are directed to these projects through the LaSallian Volunteer Coordinator.
