Delta Sigma Theta: Black History Month Taboo
Buckman Hall 224 - 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
A classic game of taboo with a twist! This game will consist of words and phrases that have been relevant to African Americans throughout history.


February 7

Black Student Association: Jeopardy (Black History Edition)
Assisi Hall 155 - 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
This night will be filled with learning and promoting knowledge about Black History. Students will be put into teams of two and will compete to win Black History Jeopardy.


February 8

Phi Beta Sigma: Dashiki Mixer
Rosa Deal 111 - 5:14 - 8:00 p.m.
A mixer where light refreshments will be provided. The aim of this event is to enlighten the CBU population of the different African cultures in the sense of dressing styles and heritage. Dashikis will be for sale prior to the event so if you do not have one this would the perfect time to get one for this event. The preferred dress attire is African patterns or colors (dashikis). If not available, please come in formal attire.

Black Student Association: Blackout Basketball Games
Canale Arena - Women’s Game at 5:00 p.m. / Men’s Game at 7:00 p.m.
A fundraiser game where all proceeds will go to the Flint water crisis. We will be distributing “I Stand With Flint” wristbands to every person that donates. We will encourage students to wears all black and cheer on our Bucs to victory versus Union.

Stop by for a special treat from the ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and get your photo taken by the men of Kappa Alpha Psi!

Alpha Phi Alpha: Personal Finance
Spain Auditorium - 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
The men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will be facilitating a conversation about finances for college students, to help bring awareness to different issues concerning financial literacy in the African American community.

Black Student Association: Town Hall Meeting
Rosa Deal 111 - 12:30 - 2:00 p.m.
BSA will host a town hall meeting on the CBU campus where we will discuss how turning a blind eye or not wanting to understand the plight of African Americans is toxic to growth.


February 22

Black Student Association: Uno/Spades Tournament
St. Joseph Hall 10 - 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
BSA will be hosting an official Uno and Spades game night. There will be winners in each game.

Sigma Gamma Rho: Soul Sister Sunday
Sabbatini Lounge - 6:22 - 9:00 p.m.
This event is to encourage women’s empowerment. This event will uplift women of all different backgrounds and gather speakers to share their individual stories. Dinner will be served.

Black Student Association: Hot Wings and Hot Topics
Rosa Deal 111 - 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
This event will allow students to have an open forum for students to discuss hot topics that can negatively affect the African American community.

Zeta Phi Beta: Health for my Sisterz
Spain Auditorium - 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Zeta Phi Beta hosts a forum/panel event focused on discussing the importance of mental and physical health of African American women. Undergraduate students and professional women will be sharing their experiences.


February 27

Divine Voices Gospel Choir: African American Celebration Concert
University Theater - 6:00  p.m.
Ticket prices are as follows: College Students: $3 with Student ID, $5 at the door with Student ID. Faculty/Staff: $5 in advance, $7 at the door. The purpose of this event will be to honor the contributions of the African American heritage. Purchase tickets here »»
